Opening opportunities – through perspective

It is our deepest conviction that profit orientation and profit maximization are not the only criteria for success. Rather, companies have a comprehensive responsibility towards their stakeholders, be they employees, the environment or society.

HaysHelps ist ein Projekt der Hays Personalvermittlung

With our group-wide CSR project ‘Helping for your tomorrow’, we have set ourselves the goal of opening up new perspectives for people from disadvantaged backgrounds, awakening their talents and helping them to become fit for the job market. A positive side effect: In this way, we are already able to positively influence the working world of tomorrow.

We also support non-profit organizations, not only financially, but also with our skills and know-how. In addition, Hays employees are entitled to a whole volunteering day per year, which is used specifically for this activity. This allows us to make our social commitment more individual and sustainable. At the same time, our employees benefit from completely new impressions. You see and feel the meaningfulness and effectiveness of your own actions. And experience the positive effects your own actions have on other people's lives.

Queermentor's offer is aimed at young queer people (students, apprentices and young professionals) and consists of mentorings, one-to-one coachings and trainings. The focus is on topics such as professional orientation and application as well as personal and professional development. Queermentor helps people from the LGBTQIA+ community to become more self-confident in their own everyday professional lives. At Hays, we support this by using our expertise to accompany young people in every upcoming career step.

VinziRast

In recent years, VinziRast has developed a variety of projects to offer people a stable place to live as well as a motivating social environment.

With its extensive projects, VinziRast creates a home, security and stability for homeless people and refugees. The non-profit association of St. Stephan was founded in 2003. The VinziRast-CortiHaus, which opened in 2008 and is one of VinziRast's many projects, offers around 30 previously homeless people a permanent place to live in 16 residential units and helps them to rebuild a social environment. In addition to a place to live, they help with official matters or talks in crises, as well as job applications. We contribute to their efforts by support in writing resumes, give tips on applications and help with application processes.

Train of Hope

Train of Hope has dedicated itself to refugee aid, currently especially to supporting those seeking protection from Ukraine. The focus is on the distribution of relief goods, counseling, networking and general support of refugees.

In 2015, a number of volunteers in Vienna joined forces under the name Train of Hope to provide initial support to those seeking protection. Train of Hope supports the refugees by collecting donations in kind and distributing them to the people. In addition, the association actively works with other organizations to also offer people language courses or job search assistance. For their extraordinary commitment, Train of Hope was awarded the Human Rights Prize of the Austrian League for Human Rights. Since many people from Ukraine fled to Austria in 2022, the association made it its goal to help those in need as well. Our involvement with Train of Hope includes support at the arrival center, for instance by sorting clothes. We also offer workshops and trainings on the topic of CVs and job applications.

younus

younus is a mentoring organization active in several Austrian provinces. It is committed to helping children, young people and parents find people to stand by them through mentoring programs.

The mission of younus is to forge interpersonal relationships that build trust, open up perspectives and strengthen cohesion in society. The core of younus' work is one-to-one mentoring. An adult (mentor) is paired with a child, teenager or parent (mentee). The resulting tandems spend time together regularly and build a trusting relationship. The psychosocial expert team of younus supports and accompanies the couples in this process. In this way, younus enables moments that change lives — for both the tandems involved and for future generations. We are happy to support the mentors and mentees with work experience days, preparing their CVs or sharing insights on how to apply for a job.
