Vice President of Business Development (m/f/d)
Responsibilities
- Lead European business development and out-licensing initiatives across biologics and therapeutic programs
- Identify, evaluate, and engage strategic pharmaceutical and biotech partners across Europe and globally
- Drive market analysis, competitive intelligence, and asset positioning to maximize value creation
- Structure and negotiate licensing agreements, including valuation, milestones, royalties and overall financial frameworks
- Develop and present investment-grade business cases and partnership proposals to senior leadership
- Lead term sheet development, due diligence, and cross-functional deal execution
- Manage post-deal partner relationships, ensuring performance tracking and contractual compliance
- Act as a key interface between BD, R&D, clinical, regulatory and executive leadership to optimize asset value
Profile
- Advanced scientific degree (PhD or Master’s) in biology, pharmacology, chemistry, or a related field
- Solid experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, preferably in Business Development, Licensing, or Portfolio Strategy
- Proven track record of executing global out-licensing deals in biotech or pharmaceutical environments
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, including asset valuation, modeling and deal structuring
- Deep understanding of drug development, regulatory pathways and commercialization strategies
- Executive-level negotiation and relationship management skills
- Ability to manage multiple complex transactions in a fast-paced, international setting
- Fluent English and Chinese (written and spoken) are required
