Responsibilities

  • Analysis and optimization of existing Piezo Mesh nebulizer systems
  • Understanding, evaluation, and enhancement of existing simulation models (ANSYS)
  • Analysis of vibration modes, resonance frequencies, and nodal points
  • Investigation of impedance behavior (dry/wet) and its impact on system performance
  • Definition and evaluation of impedance thresholds for targeted performance parameters
  • Analysis and optimization of drive principles with regard to frequency, voltage, power, and impedance
  • Assessment of component and assembly tolerances and identification of potential root causes of failures
  • Support in systematic root cause analysis of complex technical issues
  • Preparation of technical and scientific reports
  • Presentation of analysis results, findings, and recommendations
  • Evaluation and optimization of empty reservoir detection functionality
  • Analysis and improvement of nebulization output rate 
  • Review and, where necessary, adaptation of existing product specifications
  • Analysis of factors influencing membrane wetting and development of corresponding optimization measures
  • Optimization of nebulizer control systems
  • Investigation of bubble formation effects and development of suitable mitigation strategies
  • Collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams and technical stakeholders
  • Provision of expert-level technical guidance within the project environment

Profile

  • Experience with Piezo Mesh Nebulizers and/or piezoelectric membrane nebulization systems
  • In-depth understanding of the physics of vibration and resonance systems
  • Proven experience in the analysis and resolution of impedance-related issues
  • Experience with simulation models, ideally using ANSYS
  • Strong understanding of the interactions between impedance, frequency, voltage, and power
  • Experience in systematic problem-solving and root cause analysis
  • Experience in preparing technical and scientific reports and documentation
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Ability to work independently in a highly specialized engineering environment
  • Strong analytical mindset with a structured and solution-oriented approach
  • Experience presenting technical findings and recommendations to stakeholders and customers
  • Knowledge of medical device, nebulization, or respiratory drug delivery systems is considered an advantage
  • German language skills are a plus but not mandatory
