Wellbeing 

At Hays Austria, we prioritize wellbeing through a wide range of initiatives. We support our employees in caring for their physical and mental health, as well as maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Our dedicated Wellbeing Team continuously introduces new programs, activities, and resources—whether focused on mental health, physical movement, or simply taking time to recharge.

Hays Austria Alumni Netzwerk 

From a small group of dedicated colleagues to a trusted partner across Vienna, Graz, and Linz – our journey has been shaped by the people who contributed to it. We value every chapter of our shared history and take pride in the milestones we've reached together.

 To honour these connections and keep them alive, we’ve established the Hays Austria Alumni Network. Former and current team members come together in our office lounge to reconnect, share memories, and build new relationships. It’s a space for appreciation, exchange, and continued collaboration – even beyond active employment.

Unity in Diversity – Our Regular Celebration of Cultures 

At Hays Austria, the International Lunch of Cultures is more than just an event – it’s a cherished tradition that celebrates the diversity of our team. On a regular basis, colleagues come together to honour cultural variety and enjoy culinary specialties from each other’s home countries. 

From crispy cheese pastries from Burgenland to the delicate flavours of Chilean salad and the carefully prepared eggplant dishes from Persian cuisine – every bite is a tribute to the cultures that enrich life at Hays. 

It’s an occasion that brings us closer together, and we’re especially proud that our colleagues in six German cities have embraced this tradition alongside us. Together, we show that food is more than nourishment – it’s a bridge between cultures and a way to connect people.

Sustainability - Taking Action for a Greener Future 

At Hays, sustainability and environmental responsibility are close to our hearts. That’s why our Vienna office hosted an interactive event designed to raise awareness around proper waste separation – in a fun and engaging way. The goal was not only to share knowledge about correct disposal practices, but also to encourage participation through a playful challenge. Participants scored points with accurate throws and received a sustainable gift as a thank-you.

The top performer was rewarded with a special surprise prize. This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to making a positive environmental impact in the workplace. It shows that every individual can contribute – and that sustainability starts with small, conscious actions.

Helping for your tomorrow

Our volunteering program was created with a clear purpose: to support our community and help those who may not have the same opportunities as others. Every employee has the chance to dedicate one working day per year to a social project of their choice. 

This initiative is deeply meaningful to us – and the positive feedback we receive each time is truly moving. It reflects the values we live by and shows how small actions can have a big impact.
