Senior Data Specialist (m/f/d)
Responsibilities
- Analyze data sources, data flows, and data quality across research platforms
- Assess data vendors and external solutions and support vendor selection
- Identify gaps, redundancies, and quick improvement opportunities in existing data setups
- Collaborate closely with internal data, IT, and analytics teams
- Define data models, KPIs, and data requirements together with business units
- Support specifications, taxonomy development, and Proofs of Concept
- Accompany implementations from concept to productive use, including scope and priority alignment
- Support the implementation of data governance frameworks
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, group standards, and constraints
- Facilitate data workshops and requirements sessions, and prepare decision documents including escalations
Profile
- Senior-level professional experience in data-related projects
- Very strong understanding of data architectures and analytics environments
- Professional experience as a Data, Data Product, and/or Data Governance Consultant
- Ability to connect research strategy, workflows, and data infrastructure initiatives
- Experience across the full data product lifecycle, including handover to operations
- Proven ability to design processes for data transformation, structures, metadata, and workflows
- Familiarity with agile working methodologies
- Experience in a financial or banking environment is an advantage
- Knowledge of financial, economic, and market indicators and common data providers is beneficial
- Strong communication, alignment, and problem-solving skills; fluent in English
