About the company

    Our client is a leading manufacturing company with more than 150.000 employees all over the globe and more than 200 manufacturing sites and R&D units. The company is publicly listed and generates revenue of more than EUR 100 bn annually. In order to ensure the further growth and to support the group strategy regarding all tax matters, we are currently hiring this key function for one of its German legal entities.

Your responsibilities

  • Directly manage tax compliance and provide professional tax consultancy to internal clients
  • Analyze and control tax risks arising from the group activities in the country
  • Provide tax reporting to clients and Group HQ
  • Implement and optimize tax savings and risk reduction projects
  • Coordinate monthly fulfilments activities from tax staff acting as focal point
  • Provide a timely feedback on the current status of the tax activities carried out to Group HQ
  • Provide professional advice to internal clients on international tax matters such as dividend distribution, cross border transactions, transfer pricing, shares transfer, etc.
  • Contact to external tax advisors and tax authorities

Your profile

  • Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration or Law
  • Proven track record in the tax area of a manufacturing company or advisory firm
  • Good knowledge of Corporate Income Tax, VAT and other Indirect Taxes, in particular within the German regulatory context
  • Experience in “tax reporting” activities (i.e. forecast of the company tax charge)
  • Good knowledge of IFRS accounting principles
  • Qualification as Certified Tax Accountant is preferred
  • Fluent in English and another European language
  • Proven leadership experience in leading highly skilled teams directly as well as in a matrix organisation
  • Flexible approach and motivated to become a process leader
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the GMs of various legal entities and to adapt quickly to different clients
  • Energetic, positive, forthcoming attitude
